KOSTA Introduction

A Movement United by the Gospel

KOSTA is more than a conference—it is a movement of God’s people united by a shared passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

For decades, KOSTA has brought together churches, denominations, ministries, and believers from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating that the gospel is greater than our differences. Rooted in biblical truth and centered on Christ, KOSTA exists to inspire, equip, and send the next generation to live boldly for God’s kingdom.

As one of the most influential models of gospel-centered unity within the Korean church, KOSTA continues to serve as a testimony that when the body of Christ serves together, lives are transformed and the Church is strengthened.

Each KOSTA conference is made possible through the partnership of local churches and Christian organizations, the sacrificial volunteer service of speakers and staff, and the faithful prayers and generous support of countless ministry partners. Together, we seek to raise disciples who will impact their campuses, churches, workplaces, and the nations for the glory of God.

Lead Worship Pastor

Mariners Church

Born and raised in Southern California, Pastor DK Kim is a devoted Lakers and Dodgers fan—teams he’s convinced Jesus loves too.

As the Lead Worship Pastor at Mariners Church, DK is passionate about leading the next generation beyond the music and into a life-changing encounter with Jesus. He and his wife, Sadie, have been married for 21 years and are raising two teenagers together.

DK once dreamed of moving to Korea to become a K-pop star, but God had a greater stage and a deeper calling in mind. Today, he uses his gifts to help people discover the joy of worship, the power of God’s presence, and the purpose found in fully surrendering their lives to Christ.

When he’s not serving at church, you’ll find DK spending time with family and friends—or searching Southern California for his next unforgettable meal.

You’ve seen his work on the big screen—now meet the visionary behind the camera.

Stephen Oh is the CEO and co-founder of XM2, a world-leading aerial cinematography company responsible for breathtaking shots in some of Hollywood’s biggest productions, including Spider-Man: No Way Home, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, and John Wick: Chapter 4.

With more than 20 years of experience as a producer, director, camera operator, and aerial cinematographer, Stephen has built a career at the intersection of creativity and technology. When filmmakers imagine shots that seem impossible, he and his team invent new ways to make them happen—sometimes even designing and building the technology themselves.

Stephen’s story reminds us that creativity can take us beyond what already exists. Through vision, courage, and perseverance, the gifts we’ve been given can open unexpected doors and make an impact around the world.

Introducing our guest speaker, Pastor Daniel Rhee!

Pastor Daniel serves as the Lead Pastor of Living Water in Houston, where he is committed to building a biblical, Christ-centered community shaped by humble service.

A graduate of Calvin Theological Seminary, Pastor Daniel has been investing in students and young adults since his own college years. He previously served as the president of Crossroads Campus Ministry and later co-founded Verve Campus Worship—experiences that helped shape his heart for guiding the next generation toward a faith of their own.

Pastor Daniel is passionate about seeing young people encounter Jesus, grow deeply rooted in God’s Word, and discover how their lives can be used for His Kingdom.

Youth KOSTA, get ready to worship with Common Gathering!

Common Gathering is a worship ministry from Tapestry LA Church in Downtown Los Angeles with a heart to help people experience and encounter the presence of the living God through creative, authentic worship.

What began in 2022 with a few raw worship covers grew into a community of worshippers united by one vision: to host God’s presence and inspire the Church with new songs of worship. Their music—including Broken Offering, Capsule, and their latest album, WE WON’T LOOK AWAY—carries a message of surrender, remembrance, and wholehearted devotion to Jesus.

More than music or a moment onstage, Common Gathering desires to serve the local church and help a generation fix its eyes on Jesus, respond to His worth, and worship Him with everything.
